Gorillas fall to the Chamberlain Cubs and Colome Cowboys

On Tuesday, Dec. 18, the Gorillas played the Chamberlain Cubs at home, and the final score was 58-38. Coy Determan had 16 points to end the game.

On the offensive side, the team was 14/50 for 28% from the field. C. Determan’s 16 points were followed by Tommy Determan’s 15 and Evan Juracek’s seven. T. Determan had five offensive rebounds to add to the team total of 10.

On the defensive side, the team had eight steals and 27 total rebounds. C. Determan had one block and took a charge. He and T. Determan had nine of the defensive rebounds out of the 17 they had as a team.
On Thursday, the Gorillas played the Colome Cowboys at home, and the final score was 54-46. C. Determan had 19 points to end the game.

On the offensive side, the team was 17/59 for 29% from the field. C. Determan’s 19 points were followed by T. Determan’s nine and Juracek’s seven. Bryan Eagle Star had four offensive rebounds and T. Determan had two.

On the defensive side, the team had 12 steals and 25 total rebounds. C. Determan had two blocks, and Eagle Star and Juracek each had one. C. Determan had eight defensive rebounds, and T. Determan had six.

The Gorillas will be having a double header in Plankinton on Thursday against the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans. The girls JV team starts at 4 p.m. ,and the boys JV will start right after.
