Gorillas overcome Miller/Highmore-Harrold last Friday

The Gorillas traveled to Miller to play last Friday and came out with a win putting them at 6-2. The score was 36-14. Unfortunately, quarterback Grant Thomas suffered a concussion in the third quarter taking him out of football for at least a week. Jeremiah Beck rushed 22 times for 162 yards and had three touchdowns.

On offense Caleb Stukel rushed 14 times for 51 yards and had one touchdown. He had two receptions for 61 yards. Luke Murray rushed six times for 37 yards. Jackson Eklund rushed three times for 26 yards. Evan Juracek had two receptions for 42 yards. Thomas made two out of five passes for 61 yards. Coy Determan came in for Thomas in the third quarter making three out of three passes for 51 yards. Tommy Determan had one touchdown.

On defense Eklund and Beck had 11 tackles each with one sack a piece. Ethan Dargatz had seven tackles, Tyler Murray had six, Rhoss Oliver had six, Juracek had five.

The Gorillas will be playing round one of playoffs tonight against Baltic, who is 5-3. The game will be starting at 6 p.m.
