The Gorillas fell short to the Winner Warriors on Saturday losing the game 42-32. The Gorillas had a slow offensive night scoring only 21 points in the first 3 quarters. The Warriors outscored the Gorillas in the first two quarters, but the Gorillas came out after halftime and outscored the Warriors 7-4. Both teams scored 11 in the fourth to push the Warriors to victory.

Junior Robert Vomacka led the team in points with 12 followed by senior Sean Kafka with 8. Sophomore Jayd VanDerWerff also contributed 5 points followed by sophomore Aaron Voigt with 4. The Gorillas were 4 for 8 from the free throw line. The team shot 12 of 57 from the field. Kafka led the team in assists with 2 followed by Voigt with 1.

Kolton Salonen led in rebounding with 7. VanDerWerff, Kafka, and Vomacka followed with 6 apiece. Vomacka had the only block on the night for the Gorillas. Salonen also led in steals with 2.

The Gorillas next game will be in a double header against Wagner tomorrow with JV starting at 4:00 p.m.
