The Gregory Gorillas Basketball Team’s first game will be Monday the 14th at home against the Chamberlain Cubs. The team consists of seniors Sean Kafka and Sean Curtis; juniors Triv Vosika, Robert Vomacka, and Joseph Veskrna; sophomores Jayd VanDerWerff, Aaron Voigt, Max Klundt, Kolton Salonen, and Dylan Borzich; freshmen Garret Roeder, Blake Combs, Bryan Combs, Blaze Steffan, and Caleb Stuekel; and Foreign Exchange students Daniel Bruque and Oliver Theime. The Gorillas head coach is Jeff Determan and assistant coach Lonnie Klundt.

The Gorillas qualified for the State tournament last year and placed 7th with a record of 19-7. The team lost 6 seniors from last year and are a very young team. Determan said, “We will have to figure out a rotation to determine what strength each player will provide for our basketball team.” JV will kick off the season at 6:30 Monday.
