Handbook Changes for GHS Students

Sam York, Kristen Eagle Star

There have been a lot of changes in the school handbook, starting with the ICU program. ICU stands for Intensive Care Unit and the foundation is to make sure that every student does all the assignments and has no zeros. The reason it’s called the ICU program is so that when a student’s grade is “sick” and needs attention they receive help right away. If a student doesn’t get an assignment done they get added to a list and have to stay after school until they finish and pass it. Saturday school is also apart of the ICU program and is given once every month to allow extra time for the student to catch up and pass all missing assignments. Other changes in the handbook include different punishments for cheating, fighting, vandalism, bad language, and insubordination and disobedience by giving more ISS days and detentions.
