Spikers fall short to Warriors

The Lady Spikers traveled to Winner Tuesday, Oct. 6, but fell short only winning one and losing three sets.

Sophomore Alexa Hannahs had a double-double, with 11 assists and 16 digs. Maddie Eklund, who served 15 times, Ivy Ekroth, who served 12 times, and Lauren Svatos, who served 8 times, all had flawless serves for the night serving 100%. Allison Ekroth also served 9/10 times for 90%. Eklund also had 8 ace serves and I. Ekroth had 4 ace serves. Jacey Feyereisen led the Spikers with 7 kills, I. Ekroth followed with 6 kills, and Hannah Juracek had 4 kills on the night. Hannahs set the ball 69/74 for 93% for ace assists, and A. Ekroth helped with 19/20 for 95%.

Eklund was 89% for serve receive, Nika Eagle Star was 88%, and Lauren Svatos was 86%. Feyereisen and A. Ekroth each had one block apiece. The Spiker defense had 61 digs total. Hannahs had 16, Eklund and I. Ekroth each had 10, and Eagle Star had 9.

When speaking about the upcoming games, I. Ekroth said, “I think we will do better than we have been in our previous games and step up our defense and hopefully get a few more wins.”

The Spikers travel to Colome tonight with the JV game starting at 6:30 p.m.
