Girls Place Third at Lyman

Last Thursday the Gregory Track Team traveled to LymanCounty for the Cecil Johnson Invitational Track Meet. It was a little windy, but the Gregory Girls’ Track Team still placed third. 

Courtney Opbroek placed first in shot put, throwing 32’ 8 ¾,” and in discus she threw 115’3” also placing first.  Placing fourth in shot put was Briana Leber throwing 29’ 10 ¾”.  Leber also placed sixth in triple jump, jumping 27’8”. Erin Kenzy placed third in high jump, jumping 4’5”.

The Gregory Girls’ Team placed first in the 400 meter relay with a time of 55:94”, with Courtney Opbroek, Brett Steffen, Bekka Schell, and Erin Kenzy. Gregory placed fourth in the medley relay running 5:28.78, in the mile relay, also placing fourth, with a final time of 4:45.02, and in the 800 meter relay, and placing fourth again, running 5:28.78. Lauren Svatos placed third in 100 meter hurdles with a time of 19:65.

The next track meet will be Friday, May 16, in Winner at 10 a.m.  Come support the Gregory Gorillas.
