Gregory 7th Graders Take Third at MS Invitational

On Tuesday, April 15, the Gregory Middle School hosted the 6, 7, and 8 Grade Invitational Track Meet. There were eleven schools that attended this meet, overall, Gregory placed third with 78 points.

Tyler Murray took first in the 100 meter dash, with a time of 12.68 seconds.  In the 200 meter dash Jackson Eklund took third with a time of 31.23 seconds.  Peyton Feyereisen placed fifth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 19.95 seconds.  Luke Murray placed second in the triple jump, jumping 25 ft. 7.50 in.  In the high jump Bryan Combs placed fifth, jumping 4 ft. 6 in.

In the girls’ 100 meter dash, JayCee Bartling took second with the time 14.48 seconds.  Stormy Harvell took first in the girls’ 100 meter hurdles, with a time of 19.43 seconds.  In the 1600 meter run, Megan Warnke placed fourth, with a time of 6:42.53.  Brooklyn Vanderwerff placed second in the long jump, jumping 11 ft. 5 in.  In the triple jump, Vanderwerff placed second, jumping 23 ft 8 in, and Sydney Svatos placed third, jumping 23 ft. 4 in.  Warnke placed third in the high jump, jumping 4 ft. 2 in.

Garret Roeder placed third in the discus throw, with a distance of 77 ft.  In the 7 grade boys’ 4×100 relay, Gregory placed first with a time of 58.66 seconds.  In the 4×200 boys’ relay, Gregory took third, their time 2:08:28.  Gregory placed second, with a time of 4:56:34, in the 4×400 boys’ relay.  In the boys’ 800 medley relay, Gregory took second, with the time 2:07:.76

Shannon Weller placed second in the girls’ shot put throw, throwing a distance of 23 ft. 11 in.  Grace Campbell placed sixth in shot put, throwing 21 ft. 6 in.  Weller placed sixth in the discus throw, throwing 53 ft. 5 in.  In the girls’ 4×100 relay, Gregory took second, with a time of 1:02.06.  Gregory took fifth in the 4×200 relay, with the time 2:21.49.  Gregory placed third in the 4×400 relay, with a time of 5:27.58.

The next middle school track meet will be on Thursday, April 24 in Platte starting at 12:00 p.m.
