The Lady Gorillas’ first game was Tuesday against the Andes Central Lady Eagles at 7:00 p.m. in LakeAndes. On Friday they play the Avon Lady Pirates in Avon starting at 6:15p.m. with JV. Coach Rozeboom said the season is going to be good; the team has a lot of enthusiasm. The team is young but has a good amount of determination. There are three foreign exchange students out. They bring a lot of energy with them and are willing to learn the sport. The teams have a good amount of three-point shooters and are quick.

There are five seniors out, two returning letter winners, Courtney Opbroek and Brett Steffen. Coach Rozeboom has 19 girls out and the team leaders for varsity are Opbroek and Steffen, who are also the captains. The team leaders for junior varsity are Megan Preslicka and Maddie Eklund. The girls started practice November 25. Christi Rozeboom has wanted to be the coach for a long time, but it has never worked out. She has five boys and lives outside of Gregory. She graduated from Gregory in 1994 and graduated from MountMartyCollege in 1998.

Good luck to the Lady Gorillas this year
