Gorillas Dominate Razorbacks

The Gregory Gorillas achieved another win against the Menno-Marion Razorbacks on Monday with a score of 43-12.  The Gorillas piled up a total of 366 compared to 247 from the Razorbacks.

            During Gregory’s first possession, Kurt Braun ignited the crowd when he ran a 63 yard punt return at the start of first quarter.  Robert Vomacka kicked it in for an extra point putting the Gorillas 7-0.  Braun also had a 33 yard sprint to another touchdown putting the Gorillas to 15-0.

            In the second quarter, Jonah Beck ran one yard for a touchdown, and Paul Taggart ran 39 yards for another.  A two point conversion was made by Braun from Andrew Taggart putting the Gorillas 29-6.

            Entering the fourth quarter, Brody Boes ran 19 yards for a touchdown with Vomacka making another extra point.  Braun ran for seven yards for the last touchdown of the night.

            Defense was led that night by Brandon Warnke with 16 tackles.  Braun followed with 10 tackles.  Beck and Gavin Thomas also contributed with nine and seven tackles.

            The third round playoff game will be Saturday, November 9, against Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan at 7:00 p.m.  Come support the Gorillas!
