The Gregory Gorillas demolished the Tripp Delmont-Armour Nighthawks on Thursday with a final score of 54-0.  The Gorillas piled up a total of 389 yards compared to 24 yards from the Nighthawks.

            Kurt Braun had a big night with four rushing touchdowns and throwing for one touchdown.  Braun accumulated 124 yards (4/9) and 102 yards rushing.  In the first quarter, Derek Stuekl ran seven yards to put the Gorillas up to 8-0, and Braun ran for nine yards for the second score of the quarter.

In the second quarter, Braun ran for 21 yards putting the score to 20-0.  Gavin Thomas received the ball from Braun and ran for 33 yards for a touchdown.  Braun also ran three yards for another touchdown.  Ending the second quarter, Braun had a five yard scramble setting the score to 41-0.

Entering the third quarter, Sean Kafka had a 88 yard kick-off return.  Robert Vomacka had a four yard run for the final touchdown ending the score 53-0. 

Defense was led that night by Jonah Beck with eight tackles.  Brody Boes and Brandon Warnke followed with seven tackles.  Also contributing was Dowain Kerner with five tackles and Scott Shoemaker with four.

            Their next game in the second round of playoffs will be Monday, November 4th, against Marion/Menno.  Come support our Gorillas!
