Spikers Defeat Lyman

The Gregory Spikers won against the Lyman Raiders on Thursday Sept. 5th. Lyman won the first match 25-12. Gregory responded with a 25-19 win, and Lyman forfeited the 3rd match due to the lack of players and gave Gregory a 15-0 win.
Mackenzie Feyereisen had 6 digs in the back row and a nice spike that went around the blockers giving Gregory a point. Jacey Feyereisen had 6 kills. She assisted on 2 aces. Ivy and Allison Ekroth came in behind Mackenzie with 4 digs. The team’s serve receive was serve receive with only 57%, but the girls completed 13 aces. The team totaled 12 kills.
Jacey Feyereisen said, “Even though we lost the first set, I feel we really came back in the second one. We started working as a team and communicated, which is what we need in order to have a successful season.”
The next JV game will be Thursday at Wagner, starting at 5:15.
