Rhonda Waterbury has a chance to win $2500 in the Harry K Award. She was one of the six chosen out of 49 teachers from surrounding schools. Out of the six teachers picked for the final, two will be chosen to win $2500 each.

Mrs. Waterbury said, “It feels good to be nominated by the 7th graders. But I think every teacher in the school is deserving of this award and I think I just got lucky. I would buy an Ipad with the reward money for my classroom.”

The finalists were judged on a list of things including: creativity and originality, communication skills, education contributions/accomplishments, professional development, and community involvement. The two winners will be selected in early May by the workers at the Harry K in Oacoma.
