On Oct. 26, the Gregory Cross-Country Team finished its 2019 season at the Broadland Hills Golf course in Huron. The day was a beautiful sunny day. 740 runners ran at the meet in six different 5- kilometer runs.

The class B girls were the last race of the day and had a total of 120 runners in the race. Emma Thomas finished her fourth state meet in 16th place with the time of 21:07, bringing home a state medal. Sierra Rencountre, also her first season of cross-country, finished in 40th place with the time of 22:08. Half way through the race, Rencountre was in 70th placed and worked hard to pass 30 girls with her strong finish.

“This group of athletes had a great season, and I am extremely proud of each of them for all the hard work and time they put into their personal fitness and running goals. Each represented the Gorillas well over the course of the season,” said Coach Voigt.
