Record Setting Times in Platte

On Sept. 28 the Gregory cross country runners traveled to Platte to run at the Platte Golf Course. The meet started at 10:30 in the morning; the air was cool and the sky was cloudy. The runners all ran their best times of the season.

Starting with the girls varsity, Emma Thomas placed eighth, and ran her best time of 20:19. Sierra Rencountre, who is a new runner this year, placed 20th and also ran her best time of 22:24.  There were 33 runners in the girls varsity five kilometers.

For the boys varsity runners, Luke Sinclair, Carson Klundt, and Daniel Mitchell all ran well and improved their times by multiple seconds. Placing 13th, Luke Sinclair ran his best time of 18:11. Coming in 24th, Carson Klundt enhanced his time and ran a 19:35. Daniel Mitchell, who ran his first varsity race, placed 34th, and finished in 20:06. There were 44 boys varsity runners for the Platte Invite.
