Spikers Succeed over St. Francis

One Tuesday, Sept. 3, the Gregory Spikers traveled to St. Francis and defeated the Warriors. Having a great game, the Gorillas won in four sets.

For offense, Sydney Svatos had 22/26 serves with five aces and 24/30 attacks with 12 kills. Jessy VanDerWerff had 23/32 attacks with 8 kills, and Mya Determan had 16/20 attacks with 4 kills. BriLee Peck had 26/26 serves with two aces, and Jaslee Kerner had 21/21 serves with five aces. Brynn Hylla had 25/27 serves with five aces. For set assists, Brynn Hylla had 34/36, and Brooklyn VanDerWerff had 36/40.

For defense, BriLee Peck and Brynn Hylla both had seven digs, and right behind them Brooklyn VanDerWerff had six digs. Jessy VanDerVerff and Jaslee Kerner both had five digs. The spikers had 37 total digs as a team. For serve receives Brilee Peck had 11/14 and Brynn Hylla had 11/12. Sydney Svatos had three blocks and Jessy VanDerWerff had two.  Makayla Thomas and Brooklynn Kenzy both had one block.

Jaslee Kerner said, ‘’I am excited to see how far we will go as it is my last season as a senior!”
