On Tuesday, the Spikers traveled to Avon to take on the Lady Pirates for the first round of regions. The Spikers lost in three sets with set scores of 18-25, 15-25, and 24-26. Megan Warnke led the Spikers with 14 kills, Sydney Svatos with 15 digs, and Jaslee Kerner and BriLee Peck both had led with 91% serve receive.

The Spiker offense had a total of 30 kills for the night. Warkne led with 14 and was followed by Svatos and KaeLee Haney who both had five kills. Overall attack percentage was 81% with 98/121. Alexa Hannahs had 45/53 assists for 85%. Hannahs was followed by Svatos who was 37/44 for 84%. Makayla Thomas had three ace blocks, with Svatos, Warnke, and Haney all adding one for a total of six.

On the defensive side of the Spikers, Svatos led the team with 15 digs and was followed by Haney with 13, and Kerner with ten. Serve receive was led by Kerner who was 24/26 for 91% and Peck who was 10/11 also for 91%.

“Even though we’re such a young group, I feel we all improved tremendously overall. I look forward to seeing us improve more and seeing if we can move up in our region next year,” BriLee Peck said.
