On Wednesday, the cross country team went to Freeman to partake in regions. There are two students advancing to state, Aaron Voigt and Emma Thomas. The boys and girls both took sixth place in the meet.

As for the boys, Voigt took second place with a time of of 16:54.71, and Luke Sinclair placed twenty-third with a time of 20:44.86. Luigi Pittalis followed next in 32nd place with a time of 21:36.09. The boys added up 53 points to take sixth place.

Emma Thomas placed third having a time of 21:43.16, and Emma Schweigert placed 32nd with 26:14.08. Summer Janis took 37th with a time of 29:22.36. They had a total of 55 points coming in sixth place.

Voigt and Thomas will be heading to state. You can support them this Saturday, at the Hart Ranch, seven miles south of Rapid City. The girls will start at 12:30 p.m. mountain time, and boys will start at 2:00 p.m. mountain time.
