On Saturday the Gorilla Cross Country Team headed to Platte/Geddes for a meet with 17 other teams. The highest placer of the day was Xavian Fiebelkorn in JV boys, coming in sixth place with a time of 15.59. Aaron Voigt did not attend the meet because he was sick.

For the rest of the team, no varsity boys participated. For the JV boys, Luigi Pittalis finished with a time of 17.12 in 18th place.

As for varsity girls, Emma Thomas finished with a time of 22.05 in eighth place out of 46 runners. Emma Schweigert did not finish the race.

The team then headed to Burke yesterday. The highest placer was Voigt coming in second with a time of 16:39.

For the other runners, Fiebelkorn ran his first varsity and ended with a time of 21.01 in 28th place out of 45 runners. Voigt fell short of first by two seconds to Kray Person of Burke/South Central.

The girls’ varsity had Thomas finishing fourth, out of 47 runners, with a time of 21:15 and Schweigert finishing in 41st place with the time of 27:46.

As for the JV team, Luke Sinclair finished in fourth out of 41 runners, with a time of 16:31. Pittalis placed 11th place with a time of 17:04. For the girls, Summer Janis finished with a time of 22.02 in fifth place out of 10 runners.
