SPC Tournament

Lady Gorillas took home first place in the SCC Tournament.  They played twice in Colome on Thursday and Friday, and then the Lady Gorillas traveled toFt.Pierreto finish off the tournament. 

The girls played Lyman on Thursday in Colome.  They won with a score of 54 – 19.  Courtney Peterson made the most points with a total of 15; 4 of them being two-pointers, 1 was a 3, and she finished it off with 4 free throws.  The next highest scorer was Courtney Opbroek with 9 points; 4 of which were two-pointers, 1 a three, and 1 was a free throw. 

Lady Gorillas next played South Central and won with a score of 33 to 31.  Shelby Rajewich was the top scorer with 9 points total.  She had 3 two-pointers, and 1 three-pointer.  Rajewich had one steal and one 1 assist.  Next up was Courtney Peterson with one two-pointer and 2 three-pointers.  Peterson also had 2 steals and 1 assist.

White Riverwas the Lady Gorilla’s winning game.  They had a score of 45 – 39.  Baili McCance led the team with 13 points; 4 two-pointers and 5 free throws.  McCance had one steal and 3 assists.  Paxten Johnson had the next top score with 9 points.  She had 2 two-pointers and 5 free throws. 

Paxten Johnson was rewarded MVP in the tournament.  Baili McCance and Courtney Peterson were both given the All-Tournment reward.  The Lady Gorillas ended with a very good note.
