The Storm Wrestling team went to the Philip Invitational on January 13th and 14th. They had one wrestler make 1st place, three make 5th, two make 6th, one make 7th, and two make 8th.
Kurt Braun lead the team with 1st place earning 27 points. Braun pinned two of his opponents and won his other two matches by decision. Kurt’s record is now 23-2.
Levi Schonebaum, Joe Beck, and Turner Serr all made 5th place. Schonebaum pinned one opponentand won by decision two other matches. Levi scored a total of 12 points and his record is 19-10. Joe Beck has a record of 16-13. Beck pinned 3 of his 5 opponents, earning 13 points. Turner Serr won by pinning 2 of his opponents and one match was won by decision. Serr earned a total of 12 points and has a record of 19-12.
Ty Klein and Jonah Beck both came in with 6th place. Ty won all of his matches by decision and earned 9 points. He now has a record of 17-17. Beck won his match by decision, earning 7 points. He has a record of 16-14.
Dowain Kerner made 7th place and earned 2 points. Kerner now has a record of 12-13.
Brody Boes and Tyson Serr each placed 8th. Boes pinned one of his opponents and won by forfeit in his other match. He scored a total of 8 points and his ercord is now 10-9. Serr scored 1 point and his record is now 5-18.
The varsity Storm Wrestling Team earned a total of 91 points. Their next meet is the Little ‘B’ Tournament in Parkston.
