Have you ever had to go to a new school? Were you nervous? Imagine what it would be like if you had to look after a whole class of first graders.

This year we welcomed Jennifer Nelson to the Gregory Elementary School as the new first grade teacher. She is from Plattsmouth, Nebraska. She went to college at Mount Marty College in Yankton and graduated in 2014. She went to college for four years. This is her first teaching job.

In the past she has worked as a nurse aid and as a soccer referee. Her hobbies include writing, playing soccer, and reading. In high school she participated in soccer, softball, journalism, and National Honor Society. She has a twin sister, a little brother, and a little sister.

Ms. Nelson said, “I love it here. There’s nothing I would change. The people are very nice.”
